Top 5 Tools Apps Performance in Kenya Q3 2024

During the third quarter of 2024, several tools apps gained significant traction in Kenya, as per data from Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at the performance of the top five apps, focusing on downloads and active user trends.

Xender - Share Music Transfer saw an impressive rise in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 79K at the beginning of July and peaking at 170K in mid-August. The app's active users showed a consistent increase, starting from 421K and reaching around 447K by the end of September.

All Video Downloader & Player experienced a notable surge in downloads, with numbers climbing from 67K in early July to a high of 190K by mid-July. Despite a subsequent dip, downloads remained above 47K towards the end of the quarter. The app's active user base also grew, reaching nearly 489K by September's end.

TickTock-TikTok Live Wallpaper maintained steady download numbers throughout the quarter, with a peak of around 40K in the last week of September. Active users mirrored this trend, increasing from 93K at the start of July to 113K by the end of the quarter.

HTTP Custom - AIO Tunnel VPN showed consistent growth in downloads, which rose from 12K in July to over 33K by the end of September. Active users also saw a significant upward trajectory, starting at 41K and surpassing 124K by the quarter's close.

Proxy Browser experienced a dramatic increase in downloads, with numbers jumping from below 1K in early July to over 36K by the end of the month. Although downloads fluctuated, they remained above 12K through September. Active users also increased, peaking at over 123K at the end of July before stabilizing around 90K by September's end.
